Renewal Q&A!

It's that time of year where everyone in Statesboro is making the mad dash to secure their housing for Fall 2022 before it's too late. One great way to secure housing is renewing where you already are! There may be some things holding you back and we would love to ease your mind and answer your questions-which is why we are doing this Q&A on renewing!

What are we doing to improve safety?

Moving forward, we are working with our corporate team to bring a 7-day a week safety team onsite. Our hopes is that, while we cannot control the conduct of our residents and guests, we can prevent issues and better handle situations onsite with 7 day a week security.

Our courtesy officer has been working with us to implement new procedures to improve internal safety moving forward this year as well as for next leasing term.

Currently in place, we have our safety team that works Friday-Sunday through the night to encourage safe activities and behavior and limit issues.

We also have our on-site courtesy officer- who you can reach here: 912-525-1060 (you will be encouraged to follow prompts after hours)-who keeps surveillance throughout the week and is on call for us 24/7.

In addition to our safety teams, we are partnered with the Statesboro police Department which allows them to live stream our camera footage.

We highly encourage our residents to report any and all suspicions, incidents or concerns. Please call the courtesy officer/the police and let the office know via a call/voicemail or text.

Emergency Maintenance Info:
If anything happens outside of regular business hours for maintenance (Monday-Friday from 8a-5p), we ask for you to call the emergency maintenance hotline: 912-525-1060

Emergencies constitute:

  • Flooding, leaks, etc. of any kind.

  • Power/Electrical Issues

  • If the temperature in your apartment is deemed unfit, due to a malfunction of the thermostat.

  • Utilities and fixtures (oven, shower, etc.) not functioning.

Do you have issues with week-day maintenance?

Our maintenance team works M-F: 8a-5p and addresses work orders throughout the day in the order that they are/were submitted. Often when a work order has been outstanding for more than the 24-48 turn around period, it is because they are waiting on a part or other vendor to complete something for them in order to complete the work order. Anything like that should be updated by the maintenance team on your portal under the report for that work order.

If you have any concerns about your work order or would like an update, feel free to call the front office. Any concerns otherwise, please direct to the front office as well and we would be happy to address and assist any way we can.

You are not receiving notifications about packages:

You should always get an email when you receive a package to the office- if you do not receive email correspondence please check your communication options on your portal and make sure that you are opted in to email notifications.

What happens when you get locked out of your room or your apartment?

During business hours, call the office or come down and we will happily go let you in. After hours, we do charge a $50 after-hours lockout fee.

What about our rates?

Affordability and luxury is something that we prioritize at The Vault. If you are weary about renewing because you are unhappy with your current rate, we still have 11 spots available for our $409 renewal rate for next year! If you are interested in lowering your rent for next Fall, text, call, email or comment for more info.

Plus! If you stay, you won't have to worry about application feasts security deposits and firsts and last months anywhere else!

We are introducing new perks!!

One great thing we are adding to our leases is RentPlus, the financial tools to keep you a step ahead! For the small price of $6.95, RentPlus reports ALL and ONLY on-time payments to major credit bureaus. Our residents who have used it in the past have reported that their credit was boosted between 15-25 points in one year.

If you aren't sure how to renew, let us help.
  1. If you head over to your resident portal, a renewal offer will be waiting for you.

  2. If you accept it, we will send your renewal lease for next year over to you.

  3. You will be able to access your lease thorough "Documents' on your resident portal or via the invitation sent to your email. OR you can come down to the office and sign on our iPads.

  4. After you sign, make sure you are qualified. If we need extra information to qualify you, we will reach out to you for it.

Is it issues with other residents?

We encourage our residents to treat each other and the property with the respect you would give to any other one of your homes. If you are bothered by a disturbance or a reoccurring issue within your building, please contact the office to see what we are able to do in order to address and correct the issue.

We want you to feel safe, welcome and respected in your home and by your community and will do whatever we can to make that possible.

Don't want to renew with your current roommates? No problem.

Let us know your concerns and we can look into transferring you for next year. And if you don't want to transfer units, then we can check to see if your roommates plan on renewing or not!

No packing, moving and waiting!

If you stay, you don't have to pack up all of your things, move it all out and then wait a week or two for your new housing to let you move in.

Finally! If you have any other concerns or questions that were not addressed here, please reach out! We want to help, to explain and to fix whatever we can but we can only do so when we are made aware of those issues. If you have an issue with anything on property, please report it to the office staff so that can make a formal report and do our best to resolve it.
