Statesboro Food Tour

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

Whether you grew up 600 miles from Statesboro, Georgia or just down the road in Savannah, I bet there's a lot to Statesboro's cuisine that you don't quite know about. I want to introduce you the delicious food and accompanying charm that made me fall in love with this small town, so you have no worries when you make Statesboro, or more specifically, The Vault your home! I will add website links and extra pictures at the bottom!

So, you wake up, thinking about getting that morning coffee...but not feeling Dunkin' Donuts. If you just need something quick, I would suggest Ellianos on Brannen St. You never have to leave your car and you will be charmed by this tiny coffee shop. My recommendation is to always try their seasonal items, they have a peppermint mocha latte that puts Starbucks to shame!

If you have more time then I HIGHLY suggest going to Three Tree Coffee Roasters. (They also have this cute little coffee truck! *Pictured below*)

They have delicious coffee and delicious treats, but they also have a fabulous atmosphere and it smells divine in there! My favorites are a vanilla iced latte with a double shot of espresso and an everything kolache (look them up, they're like if a bagel could be a calzone)!

A full breakfast is a must though! Which is when I get to mention one of my all time favorite Statesboro gems. Recently upgraded and beautifully renovated, we have Sugar Magnolia! I have never had anything I did not like there, their brunch menu is actually to die for. Whether you want to double up on your caffeine with a Big Blue Latte or get the party started early with a delicious Bloody Mary, you won't be disappointed. I would suggest trying the Monte Cristo, the Gouda Grilled Cheese, or the Brunch Board for 2!

Moving on to lunch in Statesboro, you can go to one of two places... 1. Gnat's Landing, where you will want to get an appetizer, I would recommend getting the Garlic Cheese Bites! And if you're feeling a drink...or three... get yourself a Grateful Dead Pitcher. Once you're good and ready to eat, I always order their Chicken Tender Club, with extra ranch of course! OR 2. BITES! Which is conveniently moving RIGHt in front of The Vault entrance! Which means you will want to get familiar with their menu. Let me help you with my fav order: Spinach & Artichoke Dip for starters, followed by a Texas Burger with fries! DELISH.

Now maybe you want to grab a snack? Not time for Supper but you're wanting to satisfy your sweet tooth. Boro Sno, is where I am going to send you! They just opened up and they have definitely made an impression on us already, if you go get their Strawberry Cheesecake snow-cone...it tastes like straight up cheesecake. Plus, they are SO nice and very helpful when you're trying to navigate the menu.

Okay, okay, it's time for supper. And you're going to want to hit up Del Sur. Just 3.2 miles from The Vault you can find, the best Mexican food and a HUGE patio to sit on. For an appetizer, my go-to is ALWAYS their Dip Sampler with Queso, Guacamole and Chargrilled Pineapple Salsa. For your entree, you can't go wrong with the Grilled Chicken BLT Quesadilla.... SO good. I would also recommend a Blackberry Mojito as well, if you want to add a little *spice*. Overall, they have great food and good service!
